Church of Scientology could prove reincarnation!
by curious on Jun.22, 2009, under Faith
The Church of Scientology is in the unique position to pretty much prove reincarnation because of what are known as preclear folders. According to the Church of Scientology one discovers that they lived past lives (www.scientology.org/religion/catechism/pg011.html) during auditing. Also during auditing, the auditor records the facts derived during an auditing session into preclear folders (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auditing_%28Scientology%29#Preclear_folders). These facts often include exact time, date, names involved, and places of events. Scientology could produce copies of these folders redacting events that happened less then 6 generations ago to protect the privacy of those that may still be alive or recently deceased.
With the data we would first make sure there were no obvious problems:
-look for duplicate reincarnations (ie. there should be no more then one person claim they were Julius Ceasar) .
-look for disagreements in time/place/names (ie. if two people claimed to be involved in an event, they should agree on the time, place, and names involved, also events should be consistent across all reports).
Once we move past any obvious problem areas we can compare the data against known time/dates. This is where things get interesting. This is where you put historians on their toes. If historians claim certain details about someone’s past life claims are wrong, how do they show which one is right?
For example, someone could claim they were Elvis Borkerlockersmith and they were on the Titanic when it sank. Historians may disagree based on the fact that the name was not on the manifest and that there are no records that show that last name ever existing. Yet, it is possible that such a person existed and managed to get on the boat without being on the manifest. Perhaps the person was a stowaway or referred to themselves by a name that differed from their real name or something.
If reincarnation is true and we are able to pull up time/dates from previous generations then we might be able to completely REWRITE HISTORY and fix many assumed facts!
I would LOVE for the Church of Scientology to prove reincarnation. And, I hope that they use the facts learned in the auditing sessions to correct history books.
Please Church of Scientology, make this happen!

Youtube Video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKNcSGyzOj0
Expected speakers:
- Wise Beard Man (Mark Bunker)
- Tory Christman
- Arnie Lerma
- Graham E. Berry
- Larry Brennan
- Boris Korczak
- Jean Boucher
- Dawn Olsen
If you don’t know who these people are:
This is a “critic’s” view of most of the critics: www.xenu-directory.net/critics/
This is what scientology has to say about some of them: www.religiousfreedomwatch.org/
Wikipedia has balanced entries for most of the people.

On a side note, most of the pro-scientology blogs that I follow seem to have stopped blogging… with the exception of the scientology myths site. There is now a new myth entry for the freewinds:
www.scientologymyths.info/freewinds/
The editor seems to imply that the freewinds was dry docked for regular repairs. However, wikipedia and wikinews cite several sources, including insurance and shipping trade journals, that state that not only is there blue asbestos… the ship has been shutdown.

en.wikinews.org/wiki/Asbestos_controversy_aboard_Scientology_ship_Freewinds
Church of Scientology may have cleaned it up or whatever by now… but they don’t seem to be willing to fess up to it… so, I guess we’ll see.
Update on Scientology blogs
by curious on Jun.07, 2008, under Faith
Update on scientology blogs:
Scientology related blogs that I ended up subscribing to are (via rss reader):
anonymoushategroup.blogspot.com/ – this one is a bit over the top, but it generally has direct links to what the bad side of anonamous is up to, and sometimes provides amusing over reactions to simple things
stopscientology.blogspot.com/ – This blog generally links to some of the better videos/pictures that are out there.
chanologynews.com/ – A news site that covers anti-scientology activity… this is were I found out that LRH’s controversial “assist” tapes were leaked
forums.enturbulation.org/15-media/ – A forum that highlights the major media activity related to scientology
xenutv.wordpress.com/ – Wise beard man’s blog
scientologymyths.wordpress.com/ – The site’s editor took the time to comment on my blog, so I’ll see if the site keeps me interested and/or entertained… while the myth site that the blog covers is somewhat lacking… or in some cases a given response to a “myth” will go off in some random direction (see the “snow white” entry for a good example of this)… it is the the single best response to critics I have seen so far.
UPDATE:
If you would like to see your blog or forum area listed here, please comment below – I’ll check it out and see if it is worthy of mention
(NOTE: if there is no RSS or Atom feed it is unlikely to be mentioned.
scientology blogs

The web is full of anti-scientology blogs, websites, and stuff, so it can be difficult read anything about scientology besides the happy, happy, joy, joy official websites of scientology or the sites of its critics…. so here are some I have found (though some of the blogs appear to be quite “corporate” in their writing style…
