When I found out that MTV put up a massive collection of music videos online, I was curious to see if they would edit the videos and if so, how. Well, I decided to pick the most challenging video to censor, which is Bjork’s Pagan Poetry… the video shows nipples displays sex in a uniquely distorted. This video played uncensored on MTV2. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pagan_Poetry. The first  scene to get censored was a cut to her face… with a large black square :

Why the face? Maybe because she looks like she is enjoying herself “too” much? I don’t know…

Btw here is a screenshot of the distorted sex scene.. if it wasn’t for wikipedia, I never would have known for certian what was being shown during these scene: (note: these scenes are not censored at all on MTV’s site)

MTV censored the nipple, ear, and back piercing as well… I can understand the nipple, but ear and back?

The censorship may also tied to brand names… MTV bleeped “Burger King” from the line “I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom”

So, the video site that shows videos that almost no one else is willing to show has taken down a video due to death threats… The video is a series of clips relating to violence done “in the name of Allah” interspersed with quotes for the Koran. Wired did a news story on it if your interested in the details. Google still has the video on google video. Are the quotes from the Koran taken out of context or poorly translated?

On October 30, 2007 during an interview with Larry King about the show and Angel said "no one has the ability, that I'm aware of, to do anything supernatural, psychic, talk to the dead. And that was what I said I was going to do with Phenomenon. If somebody goes on that show and claims to have supernatural psychic ability, I'm going to bust them live and on television."

So, a few days ago someone showed me some medicine that was homeopathic as if that meant something important… I don’t know if the person was being sarcastic or not… or did not know what homeopathy is. Because of this and the fact that it is a major plot device in “Pushing Daisies” – I feel compelled to provide information on Homeopathy. So, here are two videos that explain it:

How or why is Mike Gravel hanging out with Ron Paul supporters? Besides ending the war in Iraq and ending the IRS… these guys have nothing in common.

I’ve only seen Ron Paul’s so far, though I’m hopping to have a chance to watch more. Would be nice if more candidates did this, you can generally learn a lot more about a candidate from an hour long conversation then in a room full of candidates debating.
